Injuring this character (include limits and severity): As an onryo, Kayako's one natural weakness is smoke; not fire, just plain old smoke.
Killing this character: She's already dead. If you're some shinigami/exorcist/etc, please feel free to! Kayako will know when she is in danger and attempt to leave.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Yes.
Warnings:
"t is said in Japan that when someone dies in extreme sorrow or rage, the emotion remains and can leave a stain upon that place. Death becomes a part of that place, killing everything it touches." An onryo is a vengeful spirit. When she kills, they become a part of her grudge as well. After so many years, Kayako has become a sort of umbrella grudge of the Saeki house. The souls that she has taken are now hers and will go wherever she goes. This, of course, means that when she eventually is exorcised or finally dragged to hell, all of those souls (whether innocent or not) go with her.
Kayako is quite the powerful onryo. Her abilities include:
-Haunting: What it says on the tin. Can move objects and shake things without touching them. Kinda like telekinesis.
-Teleportation: She's there and then she isn't.
-FABULOUS HAIR: One of her iconic "weapons". She can use this to capture people.
-Possession: Kayako doesn't always kill right away. At least one time she has let a woman live only to possess her and gradually take over her will. Also she can induce visions of herself coming out of a person's body.
-Temporal distortion: As shown in the second movie (japanese version) and first movie (american remake), she can make integrate time lines in a particular area; either showing them the moment of their death or something to that effect.
-Physical distortion: She can manipulate her form. As seen typically in the movies, she may appear as someone who is important to the person she is going to go after next.
-How she kills: Either she drags their bodies away to an unknown location or she leaves their bodies there to find. How she kills is never actually shown.
